YSL Teint Radiance Foundation Review...
I bought this foundation last Friday and it certainly warrants its own post!
This is YSL Teint Radiance...
I bought shade number 5, which is called 'Peach'. I was expecting to need shade 1 or 2 as I'm quite pale, but after testing all 8 shades, number 5 was perfect for me!
I've been using MAC Face & Body foundation for the past few months and I really wanted to try something new. After reading great reviews on this foundation I decided that this was the one for me :)
Shade 5 is perfect for you if you have a fair skintone with a 'cool' undertone. Some of the shades were too pink or too yellow but this one is really neutral.
The smell is also lovely - think melon with a hint of pear - yum! :)
This foundation is a cinch to apply... simply dispense 2 pumps onto the back of your hand, apply to the T-Zone, then blend outwards. Compared to the MAC F&B this is a lot easier to apply. With the MAC F&B I find that I have to wait a few seconds for it to 'set' before blending. This is totally different. It glides on, gives a great glow and stays put with a light dusting of powder.
It also provides moderate coverage so flaws are disguised, but you may need the odd dot of concealer here and there. I wore it on Saturday whilst at home to 'try it out' (with no other makeup) and my skin looked fresh and radiant.
I wore it out shopping for the first time today and here is how it looks after a few hours of wear...
I applied a dusting of BareMinerals mineral foundation over my T-Zone and then applied NARS blush in Orgasm over the top. I did wear lipstick & gloss today, but I took that off when I got home and slathered on the By Terry Baume de Rose! My lips are naturally that red and I always feel the need to tone them done with a nude lip :)
This photo was taken with the flash and I'm happy to report that it doesn't make you look ghostly in photos, which is a great bonus. It also has an SPF20 so it'll be great for the summer (if we get any sun!)
If you're looking for a new foundation I can really recommend this. It costs £28 for 30ml and is well worth the investment.
Have you tried this foundation? If so, what do you think of it? x
