Marc Jacobs is Coleen Rooney?!

I apologise for the bizarre post title, but all will be revealed in a minute!

A little while ago I made a post about the new Marc Jacobs perfume - Daisy Eau So Fresh. Now, me being the Marc Jacobs addict that I am, as soon as I saw the bottle, I knew I had to have it. As it only came out a couple of weeks ago, I decided to get a sample first.

On Saturday, I was given a few samples...

I love this sample - the packaging is cute & eye-catching and I was really looking forward to trying it. The inside of the sample is also cute...

The mini spray is also a generous size at 1.2ml, which is enough for a few sprays.

Whilst I was in the store, I decided to spray some of this perfume out of the full-sized tester bottle on the counter. I then kept sniffing it every few minutes to see how the scent was changing. It immediately struck me that this smelled exactly like another perfume I used to have, but I just couldn't work out which one! Well, it came to me yesterday and it smells exactly like (drum roll please)...

Coleen Rooney!

Well, not Coleen herself, but her original perfume :)

I can honestly say that there is no difference between these two fragrances - except for the price! The reason it smells the same is that they both have top notes of blackcurrant. Once the scent settles down, that is all you can smell.

On that basis, I am so glad that I didn't spend £48 on this perfume. Not when Coleen's can be bought for about £9.99!

I was planning on buying the full-sized bottle, but I think that the design of it is what I like the most. The perfume is nice, but it smells nothing like the original DAISY. When they say it's marketed towards teenagers, they're not wrong! I'm not paying £48 for a cute bottle :)

So, if you were planning on parting with any hard-earned cash for this - don't. Just buy Coleen's perfume and save yourself £30! x
