My Latest MAC Must-Haves!

When I visited the MAC counter on Saturday, I was given two generous samples. The first one was Mineralize Satinfinish SPF15 Foundation (liquid) and the second one was Pro Longwear Concealer.

As the samples came in tiny pots, here's how the foundation looks:

& I love the tiny pump bottle of concealer:

I was given both in NW20, which was a surprise, as I used to be NW15. My shade for Face & Body is C1 (the palest).

The foundation costs £22.50 for 30ml and the concealer is priced at £13.50 for 10ml.

There are 17 shades in the foundation range and 15 in the concealer, so you're sure to find one that suits you!

I wore both the foundation & concealer yesterday and then to work today. I wanted to see how they would both hold up during a long day. The foundation gives low to medium coverage and it can be built up to how you like it. I wore 2 thin layers and it didn't look cakey at all. There are also tiny shimmer particles in the formula, which gives skin a light luminous glow. It's a great foundation for you if you like a satin finish. It's also long-wearing and suitable for all skin types (especially normal-dry). The added bonus is that it contains Vitamins A, C & E, in addition to UVA/UVB SPF15 sun protection. So many great things in one foundation!

The concealer comes in a really hygienic pump bottle, which dispenses just what you need. A tiny amount really does cover it all! The formula helps to both conceal and correct the look of under-eye dark circles and discolourations. It's also a colour-true formula that lasts up to 15 hours. Worn with the foundation, this really gives the illusion of flawless, glowing skin! Who doesn't want that?

I applied these two products at 7.15am this morning and here's how my makeup looks at 8.30pm:

See how the light bounces off? To set it, I applied a light dusting of my current favourite face powder (Collection 2000 Perfecting Minerals - amazing!) then MAC Well Dressed blush and finally a light sweep of MAC MSF in Soft & Gentle over the blusher to highlight.

I really like this combination and shall be purchasing both on pay day!

Have you tried either of these products? x
